The Long Island Sound Study (LISS) is another National Estuary Program working to protect another Long Island waterbody. The Long Island Sound Study watershed includes all waters flowing into the Long Island Sound. The LISS watershed boarders Peconic Estuary Partnership’s watershed on the North Fork of Long Island.
The Long Island Sound Study (LISS), the South Shore Estuary Reserve (SSER), and the Peconic Estuary Partnership protect Long Island estuaries and their surrounding watersheds.
