Public Outreach and Education Program

Public outreach and participation is integral to the success of the Peconic Estuary Program. Funding is annually dedicated towards public education and outreach endeavors that serve to encourage participation and interest in the many important objectives of the PEP.

The PEP's Citizens Advisory Committee helps to set the agenda and tasks in each project period. Typical activities affiliated with this project include media campaigns, school-based programs, participation and hosting of outreach events, and development of informational publications.
