Thank You
The Peconic Estuary Program would like to thank its' partners: NYS Dept. of Environmental Conservation, The Nature Conservancy, NY Chapter of Corporate Wetlands Restoration Partnership, Central Pine Barrens Commission, Student Conservation Association, Long Island Bassmasters, Freshwater Anglers of LI, PLECO, Long Island Aquarium Society and many others, for their efforts to eradicated Ludwigia peploides from the Peconic River.

To date, over 120 cubic yards of the aquatic invasive have been removed from the Peconic River. The eradication efforts appear to be successful, as there is significantly less Ludwigia in Peconic Lake and colonies are smaller in size.
